EDS 221. Language and Literacy in General and Special Education II. Will give participants principles, techniques, procedures, and research in spelling and handwriting instruction, reading comprehension, and information will also be presented on the structure of the English language and how it relates to reading. The participants will also receive principles, techniques, and procedures in how to teach students handwriting and principles of how to teach writing as a process will also be presented. Additionally, some accommodations in teaching handwriting to the special needs student will also be given. Prerequisite: EDS 220. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0.
